What’s Neck Hump?
Neck Hump is caused by having poor posture for an extended period of time. The natural curve of the cervical spine is distorted and resulting in your head shifting forward which adds load to your neck. To adjust to the increase in weight, your body tries to strength itself by hyperplasia and this is the cause of Neck Hump.
The location of the Neck hump is on an important acupuncture point call Du-14. It is the junction of all Yang Meriden. Therefore, the appearance of Neck hump means local blockage of the Yang Meriden. It also signifies the potential deficiency in Yang Energy. That is why Neck Hump is seen less in men and younger people. As men and young people tend to have more Yang energy that flows around the body.
